Adline
What Adline is, and what it is not
Adline identifies phrases in published marketing that match terms and conditions set out in cited advertising rules. For every finding it shows the exact phrase it matched, quoted from the page, and the rule it matched against, with a link to the regulation text.
Adline does not certify that your marketing is compliant. No output from Adline, including a scan that returns zero findings, means your advertising complies with any law, rule or regulation. A clean scan means Adline did not match anything in its rule set on the pages it read. It does not mean there is nothing to find.
Adline is not legal advice and Adline is not your lawyer. Nothing Adline produces creates an attorney client relationship. Rules change, they differ by state, and they differ by license type. A rule that reaches a Consumer Loan Act licensee may not reach a Mortgage Broker Practices Act licensee, and the reverse. Whether a rule applies to you is a question for your compliance team and your counsel.
You remain responsible for your own advertising. You are responsible for what you publish, for the disclosures it carries, and for obtaining any approval your sponsoring company or regulator requires before it goes out.
Suggested replacement language is a starting point, not an approved disclosure. Where Adline offers a replacement phrase, it is a suggestion for you to review. It has not been reviewed by counsel, it has not been approved by any regulator, and it is not tailored to your license type or your state.
Adline reads what you publish. It reads public HTML on the page URLs you connect. It does not read social captions, email templates, your contacts, your customer conversations, your payment records or your pipeline.
Adline is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any regulator or government agency. Where Adline references a public enforcement action, it describes what the agency alleged. An order entered without adjudicated findings, or one in which the respondent did not admit wrongdoing, is described that way and never as a proven violation.
Questions about a specific finding should go to your compliance team first. Questions about Adline itself go to support@getadline.com.
